How to accelerate file transfer with option "Enable P2P transfer on client"
Please go to your BigAnt Console/System Settings page, find the option "Enable P2P transfer on client".
That P2P option is for transfer of large files, for files in small size you can leave it transfer through your BigAnt server, that is to say, if you don't have to check that option, your file will be sent to the server first, and then be forwarded to the contact. If that P2P option is checked, all files that over your threshold will be transferred directly to the contact. It won't go through the server.
Rules of forwarding port:
- Port 6091 for login service, and should be enabled as tcp
- Port 6097 for file service, and should be enabled as tcp
- Port 8000 for web service, and should be enabled as tcp
- Port 8001 for file service, and should be enabled as tcp
- Port 6092 has effect on P2P transfers, and should be enabled as udp. If that P2P option is unchecked, it's not necessary to enable port 6092.
